Attention Freedom Wars fans! Freedom Wars Remastered, the remastered version of the famous PlayStation Vita action game, is now available (as of January 10, 2025) on PC, PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch. The game offers players the chance to take on the role of "Guilty Ones", condemned to reduce their sentence by a million years by loyally serving the Panopticon, in a world where resources are scarce and survival means fighting.
Synopsis of Freedom Wars Remastered:
"In the distant future, humanity is fighting for survival. The planet is devastated by pollution and the last survivors are holed up in prison cities called "Panopticons". Resources are so scarce that life itself is a crime, and every newborn child is immediately sentenced to a million years in prison. For these "Guilty Ones", the only alternative to certain death at the end of a bleak existence is to fight for freedom by reclaiming resources, protecting productive citizens from enemy factions or confronting the Guilty Ones of rival Panopticons".
This new edition incorporates major technical optimizations, such as 4K resolution, a refresh rate of 60 frames per second on PC and PS5, and an enhanced multiplayer mode. It also introduces new gameplay mechanics, including an enriched crafting system and a new difficulty mode, "Deadly Guilty". According to the developer, these additions are designed to improve interaction while respecting the spirit of the original title.
